Woodbury Reserve in Glossodia will receive a substantial upgrade in line with the already approved Masterplan, which was adopted in February 2022 following extensive community consultation, and will provide the Glossodia community and surrounds with much-needed passive and active recreation facilities.
The reserve is already a much-loved passive and active recreation space, and these works will provide greater opportunities for the entire community to enjoy.
The upgrade includes:
BMX Pump Track and Mountain Bike Tracks (Completed) Learn more HERE
Improved and additional parking within the precinct
Multi-age play area for children
Shared path network with better connections
Improved accessibility across the entire park and natural areas
Viewing decks and shelters with barbecue facilities
Designated dog off-leash area has been included in the confirmed scope.
PROJECT UPDATE
Construction on the Woodbury Reserve upgrade has begun, with works delivered in two phases. Sections of the reserve will be closed during each phase while other areas remain open; for more information, please see the “Project Updates” tab below.
The Woodbury Reserve redevelopment is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program and the Australian Government’s Priority Community Infrastructure Program, in association with Hawkesbury City Council.
The BMX pump track and Mountain Bike Trails were constructed with additional funding from the NSW Government’s Open Spaces Program: Places to Play grant.

Woodbury Reserve will remain operational during construction; however, for safety reasons, the specific areas under construction will be temporarily closed to the public during each phase:
Phase 1 – Western side (Skate Park area): The Pump Track, BMX Track as well as the Dam are closed to the public from Monday, 19 January 2026 and will re-open after construction completion of Phase 1.
Phase 2 – Eastern side (Sports Field area): To commence following completion of Phase 1.
During construction, increased activity may be observed in the area, including site establishment, traffic management, and construction works. Advance notice will be provided should there be any significant impacts, such as temporary access changes.
