Tamplin Field Redevelopment

Tamplin Field at Hobartville will undergo redevelopment to create a modern sporting and recreation hub.
Tamplin Field currently caters to rugby league, little athletics, dog training, school sports, and personal trainers. The upgrade will ensure the site caters to these activities through the provision of a high-quality and well-drained field, improved lighting, fencing, carparking and amenities.
Including:
- Upgrade the oval to be a 400m competition running track
- Integrated natural turf sporting field with field events area for shot put, discus, long jump and javelin
- New multi-use courts
- Reconstruction of amenities building with tiered seating
- New play space and fitness station
- Car parking
- Paths, irrigation and drainage
- Social gathering spaces (including BBQs and seating)
Community Consultation - HAVE YOUR SAY
The concept plans were presented at the Council meeting on Tuesday, 10 June and endorsed to proceed to wider community consultation.
We are now seeking further input from the community to finalise the concept plans before moving into the next and more detailed stage of the design stage.

The Tamplin Field Concept Plans are on public exhibition from 30 June to 27 July 2025 and can be viewed on Council’s website at https://www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/ under the documents tab on this page.
A hard copy of the Concept Plans can also be viewed during the exhibition period at Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor from 9am to 4pm.
Council will receive online submissions via www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au or in writing addressed to the General Manager by mail to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, or email council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au(External link) up to close of business on 27 July 2025.
The inclusion of personal information with your submission is voluntary. However, if not provided Council will not be able to contact you about the proposal. The information will be stored in Council's electronic records system and paper files.
