Tamplin Field at Hobartville will be redeveloped into a modern sporting and recreation hub for the community.

Tamplin Field currently caters to rugby league, little athletics, dog training, school sports and personal training activities. The upgrade will support these uses through the delivery of a high-quality, well-drained sporting field, improved lighting, fencing, car parking and modern amenities.

Project inclusions:

  • Upgrade of the oval to an 8-lane 400m running track, including a 10-lane 100m sprint track
  • Integrated natural turf sporting field with field event areas for shot put, discus, long jump and javelin
  • New multi-use courts
  • Reconstruction of the amenities building with tiered seating
  • New play space and fitness station
  • New car parking
  • New pathways, irrigation and drainage
  • Social gathering spaces, including BBQ facilities and seating
