Hawkesbury City Council is planning to renew the playground at Rutherglen Park, Hobartville, creating a safer, more enjoyable and contemporary play space for local families.

The project will include the removal of the existing playground and the installation of new play equipment, safety surfacing and shade structures designed to enhance the play experience for children of all ages.

We invite the community to have their say. Your feedback is an important part of the design process and will help Council understand the needs and preferences of local residents as we develop the new playground.

Please note that this consultation relates to the playground area only. The final design will be informed by community feedback and will also need to meet the available budget, relevant Australian Standards, and Council's design and operational requirements.

Submissions open Monday, 13 July 2026.
Submissions close Sunday 9 August 2026.
