Hawkesbury City Council, in partnership with the McMahon Park Committee plan to upgrade the playground and install fitness stations at McMahon Park, Kurrajong and is seeking input from the community to inform the design.

McMahon Park is a district park with sporting facilities, community centre, picnic areas, playground and bushland, located at 30 McMahons Park Road.

Proposed Works:

It is proposed to replace the existing playground with a new play space for children 1-12 years old and provide 2 fitness hubs. Design elements under consideration include fitness stations, new play equipment, shade, seats, bin, new signage, and pathway connections.

The design will consider:

  • improving access and circulation into and throughout the park.
  • improve image and character of the park.
  • improve amenity, safety, and equity.
  • minimise future maintenance burden.
  • minimise potential impact on neighbouring residents.
