If your small business or not-for-profit organisation has experienced a decline in turnover as a result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for a small business recovery grant of between $500 and $3000.

This grant helps small businesses meet the costs of safely reopening or up-scaling operations. These expenses include, but are not limited to:

    • fit-out changes and temporary physical changes (for example, plastic barriers at checkouts)
    • staff training and counselling
    • business advice and continuity planning
    • cleaning products and additional cleaning services
    • additional equipment necessary to comply with social distancing or other public health measures
    • marketing, communications and advertising
    • digital solutions (for example, e-commerce or business websites).

This grant can only be used for purchases of eligible expenses made from 1 July 2020, and only where no other government support is available.

Note: Applications close 11:59pm Sunday 16 August 2020.

  • Does your business have a COVID safe plan?

COVID‑19 will be with us for some time, so it’s important that your business has a plan - and continues to plan - to keep your workplace healthy, safe and virus-free.

All Australian Governments have agreed to a set of National COVID-19 Safe Work Principles to guide us and ensure that our workplaces are healthy and safe.

This planning toolkit will help your business prepare a plan for the different stages of the pandemic.

You should revise your plan frequently, particularly as restrictions and conditions change.

    The toolkit:

    • will help you work out what resources are available and where you can go for support
    • will help you develop a clear plan for trading through and after the COVID‑19 pandemic
    • takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Download the FREE Government toolkit to help prepare yourself and your business HERE.
