Hawkesbury City Council is calling for expressions of interest from community organisations and community-orientated organisations with an interest in entering into a licence agreement in relation to Fernadell Park Community Centre.
Fernadell Park Community Centre offers an exciting opportunity for organisations to establish their services in Pitt Town.
A draft Community Land Licence agreement is available on request.

Your submission should demonstrate how you meet the assessment criteria, including:
- How your orgnaisation plans to use the facility?
- How your organisation supports building community capacity and meeting local needs?
- How your organisation plans to collaborate with other stakeholders and community groups?
- How your organisation plans to manage the facility?
- Any conflicts of interest that may be present.
Expressions of Interest will be received up until 11.55pm on 17 April 2026.
Fernadell Park Community Centre
This is a brand-new facility, still under development. Hawkesbury City Council is calling for expressions of interest from organisations that want to enter into a community land licence agreement with Council to manage the Community Centre. The approved applicant will be an incorporated organisation, with public liability insurance. The Community Centre is expected to be completed by 30 June 2027.
Facility at a Glance
Fernadell Park Commmunity Centre is situated at 48 Bootles Lane, Pitt Town. It is part of the Fernadell Park Redevelopment. The Fernadell Park Redevelopment will be funded through the Australian Government's Thriving Suburbs Grant, the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program and the Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund and a contribution from Hawkesbury City Council.

The Fernadell Park Community center is a 750m2 multipurpose facility co-located with a range of park and recreation uses. The centre will include:
- Multi-function Hall/Community room for large events and activities
- Meeting rooms
- Amenities (toilets, store and equipment rooms)
- Kitchen/kiosk.
Community Centres are critical to supporting the health and wellbeing of communities. They provide space to socialize, create and connect with others, and support the provision of community, health and social services. The successful organisation will utilize local knowledge and community to enhance the community and make the community centre a wonderful place to hire, meet and engage.
Fernadell Park Community Centre is designed to be a multipurpose and flexible community facility. The provision of a large, adaptable space can accommodate multiple user groups and community needs. This centre will maximise accessibility and usability for Pitt Town.
The successful organisation in the expression of interest will demonstrate how the organisation will address factors such as the aging population, addressing intergenerational equity, inclusive and culturally sensitive, providing opportunities for the community to connect and improve social interactions will be considered.
The successful organisation must manage the day-to-day running of the facility. This includes the funding, maintenance and upkeep of the building. The successful organisation will be expected to provide Hawkesbury City Council with booking and utilisation rates.
