Hawkesbury City Council is preparing a Plan of Management and Landscape Masterplan for Colbee Park, McGraths Hill, to facilitate greater community use and enjoyment of the reserve. The plans will guide future use, management and long-term recreation opportunities to be provided at the park.

Community consultation is a vital part of the planning process and your contribution is welcomed. Please see details in the news feed regarding opportunities to provide input.

Development of the Plan of Management and Landscape Masterplan does not represent a formal commitment to funding. These plans will be guiding documents; their main purpose is to consider and allow for appropriate usage and to prioritise potential capital works projects to further the recreational opportunities of the site whilst ensuring all values are protected. It is not anticipated that full development of the park will be completed in the short to medium term.

  • CONSULTING THE COMMUNITY - Colbee Park Community Land Categorisation 31/5/21

    A Public Hearing will be held to formally re-categorise the community land comprising Colbee Park, McGraths Hill, to: Sportsground; Park; Natural Area Watercourse; Natural Area Bushland; and General Community Use.

    • Date: Monday, 21 June 2021
    • Time: 7pm – 8pm
    • Venue: McGraths Hill Community Centre located at 1 Phillip Place, McGraths Hill.

    Please note that if you would like to make a formal verbal or written submission to the Independent Chairperson you can do this at the public hearing or by 5pm on Thursday, 24 June 2021 via sandy@parklandplanners.com.au

    The Draft Landscape Masterplan for Colbee Park, McGraths Hill has been prepared which incorporates comments and ideas previously received from the community. The Draft Landscape Masterplan provides a long-term vision for the Park, ensuring that any future improvements are appropriate, and that values of the park are retained.

    Community feedback is sought on the Draft Landscape Masterplan and a short survey is available for members of the community to prioritise projects which may be considered for funding in future capital works programs.

    Please note that development of this Draft Masterplan does not represent a formal commitment to funding. The Draft Masterplan is a planning document that will inform future operational plans. It is not anticipated that full development of the park will be completed in the short to medium term.

    Hawkesbury City Council is preparing a Plan of Management and Landscape Masterplan for Colbee Park in McGraths Hill. These plans will guide how the park will be used in the future and provide a vision for improving the general amenity, functionality and capacity of the site.

    Community consultation is a vital part of the planning process and your contribution is welcomed. Please tell us how you use Colbee Park, how you would like to use it in future, and any changes you’d like to see to the park.

    Drop in to Colbee Park on Saturday 21 September, 9am – 11am to talk with Council staff and the project consultants.
