Draft Development Control Plan

Council is seeking your feedback on Stage 1 of Council’s Draft Hawkesbury Development Control Plan. The Draft Hawkesbury Development Control Plan supports the implementation of the Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan and will introduce detailed controls for a number of matters such as design quality and built form, public domain, heritage, flood risk, environmental sustainability and vehicular access and parking.

Stage 1 of the Draft Hawkesbury Development Control Plan includes new Chapters for the following:

• Preliminary
• Site Analysis
• Heritage
• Effluent Disposal
• Traffic, Access, Street Design and Parking
• Related Documents, including Engineering Specifications and Standards (Western Sydney Engineering Design Manual).

Work is progressing on other chapters of the Draft Hawkesbury Development Control Plan with public exhibition of those draft chapters expected to occur later in 2022.

Stage 1 of the Draft Development Control Plan is on exhibition until Friday 18 February 2022.
