Psychological Therapy Services for Flood Affected Areas Floods Psychological Therapy Services are available to people who have been impacted by the ongoing flooding events in our region. You can access up to 10 free sessions per calendar year with a mental health professional by calling 1800 595 212. No GP referral or healthcare card is needed to access this service. When you call you will speak to a trained local clinician who can refer you into the program, or to another local service such as the Hawkesbury Head to Health Pop Up. Rural Health Connect - a platform that links people to psychologists over video and phone calls. They want everyone, regardless of where they live or their life circumstances, to be able to access the psychologist that is right for them. Hawkesbury Headspace - Hawkesbury Headspace has opened its doors to the community!

The headspace centre is located at 120 Francis Street, Richmond is open 9:00am – 5:00pm weekdays, except public holidays. The service will also provide permanent outreach twice a week in Windsor at the Old Hawkesbury

Hospital, 6 Christie Street, Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am – 5:00pm (except public holidays).

headspace is a free service that provides early intervention support to young people aged 12-25 years and their family and friends. Support is delivered across mental health, physical health, work and study and alcohol and other drug needs.

Hawkesbury Headspace can be contacted on 1800 517 171.

Uniting’s Youth Enhanced Support Service (YESS): is for young people from 12 to 25, who may need more intensive mental health support than a GP, private psychologist or headspace centre can provide. The YESS team offers holistic support that’s tailored to each young person’s needs. This might include psychological and social interventions, peer work, employment and education services, psychiatry, or family work. The service is free. 1800 937 776

Head to Health Hawkesbury - Hawkesbury Head to Health site has opened its doors in Richmond!

Located at 1-2 Musson Lane in Richmond, the service provides free mental health support in a safe and welcoming environment for people experiencing distress or crisis. It also supports those wanting to find other mental health support for themselves, or someone they care about.

Opening Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (with walk-in support available from 1:00pm - 5:00pm) Thursday and Saturday 11:00am to 7:00pm (with walk-in support available from 1:00pm - 7:00pm.)

No referral is needed to use the service and during walk-in hours, no prior appointment is needed. The service can be contacted via the Head to Health phoneline on 1800 595 212 (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm).

Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program - provides support for people with a mental health issue and psychosocial disability who are not more appropriately supported through NDIS or other support arrangements. The CPS program will assist you in your recovery journey by supporting you to increase your independence, learn new skills, and feel more confident to work towards your goals. 1300 779 270

Healing Hands Complete Care - registered NDIS provider, which aims at providing services par excellence that positively impacts people living with a Mental Illness and their families and carers. HHCC is able to tailor individual supports to suit your needs, Psychosocial supports can assist in keeping your house in order, they can support you in assisting with light cleaning duties, cooking some meals, so you can continue to live independently at home while doing more of the things you love.
