Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community feedback to help design a new play space within the public reserve on Laurence Street, Hobartville.

Currently, there are two separate playgrounds in the park. Council is proposing to replace these with a single, more contemporary and inclusive play space designed for children up to 12 years of age. The new play area is planned for the section of the park opposite the pre-school, at the corner of Laurence Street and Harold Avenue.

The proposed play space will feature:

  • New play equipment
  • Shade structures
  • Softfall surfacing consisting of mulch with rubber in high-wear areas
  • Seating
  • A waste bin
  • A pathway connection from the footpath

We want to hear from you! Share how you currently use the park and what you'd like to see in the new play space. Your input will help guide the design to better meet the needs of local families and children.

Closing date for submissions is Sunday 17 August 2025.
