  • Grants

Grants to support flood recovery extended until 22 September 2021. If you are a community group applying for this grant some assistance with completing your application may be available. Please call email emurphy@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or call 0437 144 475 for more information.

Was your NSW or SE Qld community affected by floods and storms back in March this year?
NFP's and community groups in affected areas now have until 22 September to apply.
Wondering what kind of projects can be funded through the Rebuilding Futures program?
As an example, when floods hit Mackay a few years back, the Western Suburbs Clubhouse was thankfully spared, and provided a safe place for many families. However, they had no power, making urgent communications with rescue services extremely hard.
Afterwards, the Mackay community used an FRRR grant to install a power generator to increase their preparedness in the event of any future disasters.
Other groups have used funds for mental health programs and to bring people together to support one another through their recovery. But the program is flexible, as we know that every community is different.
