LOCAL RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES

Peppercorn Recovery Support Services offer individual support to strengthen the capacity, over time, of the flood impacted people of our community by facilitating and working with clients to engage with services, seek financial assistance and information and when needed navigate the range of services available. Call 4587 0225 or email rss@peppercorn.org.au to speak with a Recovery Support Worker.

Department Primary Industries Rural Recovery Support Service for Primary Producers can be contacted on jamie.perry-meijer@dpi.nsw.gov.au or call 0407 910 221 to speak with a DPI Recovery Support Worker

  • For Mental Health Support 24hours/7 days you can call: Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 224 636 or the NSW Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511.
  • If your home or belongings were damaged you can call Disaster Customer Care at Service NSW on 13 77 88 or visit online HERE
  • If you have a small business you can call the Business Concierge at Service NSW on 13 77 88 or Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593 or visit HERE
  • If you are a primary producer needing assistance you can call Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593 or visit HERE.
  • For assistance from Telstra with diversions, data and reconnection support, call 1800 888 888
  • For assistance with stock and the care of animals phone the Agricultural and Animal Services Hotline on 1800 814 647. The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and Local Land Services (LLS) provide assistance to landholders and communities with animal welfare-related issues resulting from the floods.
  • For help with Insurance if you are not sure of your insurance details or have general inquiries about the claims process you can call the Insurance Council of Australia’s Disaster Hotline on 1800 734 621.

Hawkesbury City Council is working in partnership with the emergency services, State and Federal government agencies, charities and others to deliver this assistance.
