1️.South Windsor Family Centre Recovery Centre, 6 Greenhills Way, South Windsor
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday – 10am to 5pm, Thursday 10am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday - CLOSED
2. Wisemans Ferry – The Retreat, 5564 Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry
Monday - Friday – 10am to 4pm, Saturday – 10am to 2pm, Sunday CLOSED

OUR OPEN SPACES - FLOOD RECOVERY UPDATE 22/4/21
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this linkRepair work is continuing on several of our Playgrounds and Reserves that were impacted by the recent flood event. Due to the damage, these locations will remain CLOSED. We will continue to update the community as work progresses and these locations become open to the public.
Here is the latest update of works that are required;
- Governor Phillip Park – Clean up of vegetation and replacement of mulch in Playspace gardens, softfall mulch replacement, waterplay electronics to be replaced, mud and slit removal, BBQ's to be repaired.
- Church Street Reserve – Clean up of vegetation and mulching of Playspace area, softfall replacement, carpark repairs.
- Macquarie Park – Softfall mulch replacement, safety fence repairs, debris clean up.
- Howe Park - The Luke Worsley Bridge is currently closed, handrail will need repair work, ongoing clean up of debris, fitness equipment softfall replacement, replacement of park furniture and rubbish bins.
- Hawkesbury Park – Replacement of softfall, ongoing debris clean up.
- Hanna Park - Ongoing tree work and sediment removal to lower section.
- Yarramundi Reserve & Navua Reserve - Ongoing tree works and remediation.
- Windsor Wharf Reserve - Wharf area to be inspected and made ready for re-instatement of pontoon.

Greens Road Lower Portland - Flood Recovery Update 22/4/21
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this linkThe March 2021 flood event has had a significant impact on local residents and their properties along Greens Road, Lower Portland.Council staff have inspected Greens Road a number of times and assessed the impact of the flood on the road. The following action plan has been developed:- The road subsidence located south of Juniors on Hawkesbury remains open at this stage with a 5 tonne weight restriction for vehicles
- The road subsidence located north of Juniors on Hawkesbury has been closed to through traffic due to safety concerns
- A geotechnical firm has been engaged to investigate:
- the best way forward to re-establish a safe road network at both locations
- possible short term options to improve the road stability
- an increase to the current 5 tonne weight restriction
The preliminary geotechnical investigations have been undertaken and the geotechnical firm will be commencing on site later this week. Information from the investigation should be available within approximately 2 weeks of commencing on site. This information will then be shared with the community.The traffic control near Wheelbarrow Ridge Road will remain in place until further notice.We will continue to keep the local community informed of the situation as it develops. Free Skip Bins for Flood Affected Properties - 20/4/21

If you need to book a skip bin to come to your property or street click here Once your skip bin is full, you can also request a pick up via the same form.You will need to provide your name, address and details of the amount and type of waste to be disposed of.If you would prefer to take your flood affected waste directly to the Hawkesbury Waste Management Facility, please book your drop off time HEREIf you are unable to register online or require further assistance, please call our Customer Service Team on 4560 4444 -

Freemans Reach Road - Repair Update - 19/4/21

We do not have an expected completion date at this stage, but we will update the community as the works progress.We will post updates on other local road repairs over the coming days. -
Windsor Boat Ramp Update - 17/4/21

Due to the debris and other restrictions on the river, users should exercise caution and take extra care.

- Help for Small Business section
- New financial support available from the Salvation Army, Vinnies NSW Flood Appeal, Red Cross and Rural Aid
- There are also some changes to the operating hours of the Recovery Centres and Recovery Hubs
