    Flood Recovery Information - Hawkesbury 2021 Update Issue 4

    This update is provided to support our community during the current flood situation. There are a range of supports available.

    Hawkesbury City Council is working in partnership with the emergency services, State and Federal government agencies, charities and others to deliver this assistance.

    Council's Disaster and Emergency Dashboard has information on local Road & Ferry Closures, Weather Warnings and Radar and River Heights at Hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au

  • Free Skip Bins for Flood Affected Properties - 31/3/21

    Skip bins are being delivered around our flood affected streets, please place your flood waste in these bins. If you need to book a skip bin to come to your property or street click here
    You will need to provide your name, address and details of the amount and type of waste to be disposed of.
    There are still many roads that are impassable along with ferries that are not in operation, so there may be delays to some locations.
    If you are unable to register online, please call our Customer Service Team on 4560 4444 for assistance.
  • Wisemans Ferry Back in Service - 31/3/21

    The Wisemans Ferry between Old Northern Road and Wisemans Ferry Road is operating with a reduced capacity as only the small ferry is in service.

    The Lower Portland Ferry is currently not in service, but we will update the community once we have further information on when it will be operational.

    The Community Advice and Support Service Hubs will be on at Kurrajong Heights tomorrow 9.30am to12.30pm and Colo Heights 9.30am to 12.30pm offering support from Council, @Step by Step Recovery Services and Red Cross. Come in, see what is available and tell us how we can best help.

    Today the
    Mayor of Hawkesbury
    met with the
    Governor-General of Australia
    David Hurley and Linda Hurley, SES Commissioner York and SES Commander Kevin Jones.
    They spoke about the devastation our community has experienced over the last week and visited properties around Freemans Reach, speaking with the wonderful and committed SES volunteers who have worked so hard for us.
